2001 Ford F550 High Gear Problem

I have a F550 2001 7.3L diesel Manual Transmission 4WD.Question:  zf s650 Serial # 8283850 1319050036 Transmission has 210,000 miles on it Transmission was in high gear when there was a bang and then it would not stay in high. I can hold it in high but only with very light throttle, otherwise it just pushes shifter to neutral. My question: would you think high or low dollar fix. what issues is this transmission facing with the miles on it. Will I trash it by continuing to drive it while I make a decision on what to do. Thank You for your time.Answer:  The Over Drive gear is a common problem/ issue with the ZF 6 speed. Below we have listed the parts we believe you will need to repair, also we have provided a cost or a remanufactured dyno tested transmission. The transmission will have a one year warranty. At 210,000 miles it will need the following at the very least… they also have an issue with wearing out the pilot area on the end of the input shaft also… we do have a kit for that listed at the bottom, here are the parts we recommend::
