Additional Information – You will need to source pedals, flywheel bolts, rear transmission mount (height change from auto to manual), shifter boot in cab, possible drive shaft length modification, computer flash from auto trans to manual on later model vehicles, wiring of rev light switch and neutral safety switch, changing of transfer case input shafts (as well as swapping input pocket bearing) on NP241, NP271, and NP273. Removal of tail seal for NP205 application, and possible modification to transfer case shift linkage on NP241 and NP271 with change of positioning forward/backward of the transfer case. 1989-1993 requires 94-Up Starter. No core required, shipping charges will be added.

Take Advantage of Our NV4500 5 Speed Stick Shift Knowledge
The NV4500 transmissions began showing up on the scene in Dodge Diesel trucks in 1992. This particular transmission comes with a cast iron case, aluminum top cover and it is top loaded. The NV4500 utilizes a removable aluminum bell housing, aluminum top cover. The primary bearings are tapered also, the input pocket bearing is a caged needle bearing. 1st gear 5.61, 2nd gear 3.04, 3rd gear 1.67, 4th gear 1.74 and reverse is 5.61. The units have 29 spline the kit includes a new input shaft for your NP241 transfer case on your Dodge 4×4.
These NV4500 transmissions have helical gears, also, the unit is fully synchronized, this unique synchro ring build up requires a unique synthetic liquid. The size of the brand new installed transmission will change from the current transmission, therefore you will need to have your driveshafts modified. The opening in the floor board may require slight modification.

For your NV4500 we suggest about 30lbs of critical parts be treated this adds and extra $450.00. We can provide a larger input shaft 1 3/8″ billet & cryro treated and a clutch kit for this shaft.
