NP271 Transfer Case Fluid Synthetic 75-90 verses ATF?

I have a 2003 Dodge 3/4 ton 2500 with the 5.9L

Question:  This truck has the NP271 transfer case and it calls for Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF).  I have been told to run 75-90 weight synthetic in this unit.  My question is can I run the 75-90 or stick with the ATF?Answer:DEFIANTLY STICK WITH THE ATF… THE GEAR LUBE WILL RUIN THE CASE!You can see the transfer case and parts we offer for the NP271 on our site.
