Jeep Comanche Transmission Replacement

See this content in the original post

I have a jeep Comanche 1988 4.0L 4WDQuestion:  I have a Comanche with the Peugeot BA10/5 and NP231J Transfer case. The transmission is stuck in first gear with the stick moving freely and in fact has since been removed to try and diagnose (no success). Is this something common or that anyone at Midwest has come across? It would be great if someone has dealt with this and or has an idea of what needs to be done or replaced. I would then have a better idea of what it will cost to fix (time/money) and the most efficient way to proceed. any suggestions will be appreciated and taken into consideration.Answer: Repairing the BA10 is not an economical option and some parts may be hard or impossible to find. We can provide an NV3550 update kit that comes with a new transmission  bell housing, external slave and line, throwout bearing, clutch fork and retainer,  shift stub, shift stick and a 23 spline input for your transfer case your cost is $2195.00, plus freight. This transmission has a 12 month warranty.Give Scott a call 888-824-2012 he can help you.  You can see more information on the new 5 speed manual transmission NV3550 on our site.
