Corvette Shifting Problem

I have a 2004 Corvette LS1 350

Question:  I have a 2004 corvette with 14,000 miles and a T-56 6-speed transmission. I have always driven the car reasonably, no burn out no power shifting, etc. When I shift from 1st to 2nd, It feels like the synchro does not completely match the speeds perfectly and there is a small clunck as I shift into 2nd. It is more pronounced during colder temperatures. I've changed the fluid but it still does it. Is this a weak component or did I get a bad synchro in the transmission? Can I have a surgical parts replacement completed? or if the transmission has to come out of the car should I have all of the soft parts replaced?

Answer:  First thing Scott would try is pumping up the clutch 4 – 5 times then driving the car and see if the issue persists . This sounds like it could possibly be a hydraulic or clutch issue instead of a trans issue.  Give Scott a call toll free after this test he can help you 888-824-2012.  You can see the other parts that we can supply for the T56 on our site.
