I have a Ford F450 7.3L 2WD.Question  Hey a friend was driving truck and says he was in 5th gear, hear a pop and doesn't have neutral anymore. When the shifter is in the neutral position it's in low gear. All other gears work but it seems low is stuck engaged. Can this be a simple fix?Answer:   Unfortunately this will not be an easy fix. It sounds like the 1st gear seized to the mainshaft. First thing is to drain the oil and see what the condition is and the level or lack of (oil).
